Summer ‘round the Corner

The weather is warming up, although it seems to be struggling to get too hot too quickly for us this year, which on the one hand, yay! But on the other, climate change, perhaps? boo.
Anyway...
There's only about three weeks left of school for the kid. Then another two months after that and we'll be on vacation in Half Moon Bay.
Meanwhile, it looks like I'll be doing some contracting for a small web development agency for at least over the summer and potentially longer if it all works out well. Woo!
If I'm honest, I am rather excited about this prospect. After what seems like an eternity in telecom in a corporate environment that is just slowly draining my soul, this new side adventure will be very refreshing, and a very welcome change of pace. Who knows, it may even open doors to add even more contracting agreements with other small agencies and in time, allow me to part ways with the old telecom world. That is my ultimate goal.
I don't know yet if I'm allowed to share any details of this venture, as I don't officially start until next week. But if it's allowed, then I will certainly provide another update in the future.
